Students Welfare Sub Committee

The Students' Welfare Subcommittee of Kalyani Mahavidyalaya is typically dedicated to addressing and enhancing the well-being of the student body. This committee focuses on various aspects such as health, safety, counseling, financial aid, and overall quality of student life. 

The Key Functions and Responsibilities of the subcommittee are as follows- 

Safety and Security:

- Ensure a safe campus environment by working with security personnel and addressing any safety concerns raised by students.

- Conduct workshops on personal safety, cyber safety, and emergency preparedness.

Counseling and Support Services.

- We offer academic counseling to help students with study plans, time management, and career guidance.

- Provide emotional and psychological support through counseling.

- Create support groups for various student communities, including those from marginalized backgrounds.

Financial Aid and Scholarships:

- Inform students about available scholarships, grants, and financial aid opportunities.

- Assist students in the application process for financial support.

- Organize fundraising events to support students in need.

Inclusivity and Diversity:

- Ensure that the college environment is inclusive and respectful of all students, regardless of their background.

- Organize events and initiatives that celebrate cultural diversity and promote understanding and tolerance.

Structure and Operation

-         Members: The subcommittee typically comprises faculty members, and administrative staff. 

-         Meetings: Regular meetings are held to discuss ongoing issues, plan events, and review the effectiveness of implemented measures.

By focusing on these areas, the Students' Welfare Subcommittee plays a vital role in ensuring that students have a supportive and enriching college experience.
